This museum is the only one of its kind specialising in music in Spain. It shows an extraordinarly selection of documents and instruments from the 16th-20th century including one of the best and most important guitar collections in Europe. Besides there is also biographical work on Catalan composers to be found as for example Manèn. The museum is preparing to move to L'Auditori in Barcelona therefore the permanent collection is temporarily closed to members of the public.
